Artura Photography are the newest family run, hardworking and honest photographic business that offers our services anywhere in the NorthWest of England. But we have pillows and will travel.

Artura was born in 2009 By Mark Howard and another bloke called Martin Garrity. Two mature students who met whilst studying for a bachelors degree in photography at the University of Bolton. Coming from different backgrounds they had both realised at some point in there lives that they wanted the same. To pursue and learn more about what they loved most...Taking pictures.

Standing up and stepping out of the rat race to further educate themselves was a difficult decision, but with support from their families they waved goodbye to working for the man and it’s been the right choice.

Mark (The professor) Howard is the brains of the business and has a long history of working in I.T. he even built this site from the ground up with his bare hands. Technology can’t keep up with this guy!

Martin (fingers) Garrity has a history too but we won’t even go there, he’s the logistical guy and look out for the operation, a driving instructor for as long as he cares to remember, the road was long with twists and turns but for them both it was never in the fast lane.

Mark and Martin had a mid life challenge and with support from their better halves Kay and Linzi, they all brought together a wealth of experience and created Artura over a pie and a pint after their first shoot with a primary school. Mark and Martin were now in charge of their destiny, they were the ones holding the snazzy stuff and wearing the trousers. Albeit the ones the wives told them too. Happy Day’s!
